Marketing Director

The incumbent is responsible for the activities related to the creation of business lead generation. For this purpose, he will coordinate, supervise and lead the activities associated with understanding and gauging current and future markets, creating content marketing, identifying and using tools to promote products, and managing the marketing-related performance indicators. He will act as a coach while managing his team’s human resources.

In the heart of the marketing team, your job will consist of:

  • Understanding and knowing the current and potential target markets, including their ecosystem, to establish the foundation for business cases in view of the selection of product development projects;
  • Developing and ensuring the implementation of the process for creating sales lead generation;
  • Supporting the development of the company’s marketing plan and ensuring the execution thereof;
  • Conducting market studies and analyses to identify B2B business opportunities for our various products;
  • Actively participating in the development of the company’s sales forecasts from a market perspective;
  • Playing an influential role in the portfolio process for the selection and prioritization of projects for product and technology development;
  • Supporting the sales force and product managers in their marketing efforts;
  • Ensuring the maximum efficiency of content marketing and the use of marketing tools (website, social networks, trade fairs, etc.);
  • Overseeing the selection, preparation and launch of marketing campaigns.


Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, business administration or marketing. All other studies in a field related to photonics are considered an asset.
  • More than 9 years of prior experience, 5 of which as a team manager. Pertinent experience in the field of lasers, optical communications and optical sensors is an asset.
  • Excellent communication skills and fluent in French and English.
  • Ability to understand the technical, commercial and economic challenges of the various projects and therefore to collaborate under the required technical and business compromises that have been established.
  • Ability to solve problems quickly and work under pressure.
  • Demonstrating leadership, discipline, organizational skills, a sense of initiative, creativity and diplomacy.
