European Sales Manager

indie Photonics (EXALOS and TeraXion) is a leading provider of advanced light source technologies and optical components, serving a diverse range of industries, including aerospace, sensing, communications and medical imaging markets. Our innovative products are designed to meet the most demanding applications, and we are committed to excellence in customer service and technical support.

We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager with a strong background in laser technology to join our team. The work location will be based in Zurich, Switzerland or Germany.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in sales within the laser or photonics industry, with a focus on the aerospace, sensing, communications and medical imaging markets. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of driving sales growth and building long-term customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets in the assigned territories;
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities;
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders;
  • Provide technical consultation and product presentations to prospective clients;
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering, product development, and marketing, to ensure customer satisfaction and alignment with market needs;
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify growth opportunities;
  • Prepare and present sales forecasts, reports, and market analysis to senior management.

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills;
  • Fluency in English and German;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Willingness to travel as required;
  • Experience with government contracts and defense procurement processes (prefered).

 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and German;
  • Ability to identify and understand technical, commercial and economic issues in connection with products and projects and to make necessary technical/business decisions;
  • Strong teamwork and leadership skills to facilitate cooperation between multiple internal and external parties;
  • Willingness to travel abroad on occasion.
