TeraXion Introduces High-Power Configurations for the LXM Narrow-Linewidth Laser Module

TeraXion, a leading provider of innovative photonic solutions, proudly announces the introduction of new higher-power LXM narrow-linewidth lasers.

The LXM is a low-noise semiconductor laser module that offers unmatched performance with low RIN, narrow linewidth, high stability and high optical power. Two new models are available: the ultra-narrow linewidth LXM-U, now offered at >60 mW, and the narrow linewidth LXM‑S, now offered at >70 mW optical power.

The LXM-U, an ultra-narrow linewidth laser, is now available with >60 mW optical power. With a typical instantaneous linewidth of 80 Hz and best-in-class long-term stability, it is ideal for distributed acoustic sensing (DAS) systems. Its industry-leading vibration tolerance ensures reliable performance even in challenging environments, while the increased power opens up possibilities for advanced local oscillator designs and multi-channel configurations.

The LXM-S, optimized for mid-range coherent detection, now offers >70 mW optical power. Featuring an intrinsic linewidth of less than 25 kHz, it excels in frequency modulation response, making it well suited for applications such as FMCW lidar and Doppler lidar. The higher power enables greater measurement range and improved data throughput.
